Everyone who lives here already knows that when they hand you the keys to your house...it?s usually approximately 20 keys. I have keys to the closets, keys to the maids room, keys to each individual bedroom, keys to this, keys to that...and then I had to buy locks for all of the iron doors...marquesina gate, patio doors, area de lavado door, etc.
Anyway, now I have lost...no, misplaced a good majority of the keys to the outside locks. I cannot open my marquesina gate, or 2 out of the 3 doors that lead to my back yard, and can?t open the door to the roof to get to the tinaco.
I need something that cuts these big locks so that I can buy a new lock and start over.
I even bought a lovely key holder from El Encanto to turn over a new leaf;);)
What cuts locks, or
Who can I call to cut them
Sorry, I can?t figure out how to make the question mark on this stupid keyboard!!!

This is the lighting section but they have a large tool section and I found good customer service

:bunny: Do not forget to use eye protection and glasses

YOU CAN GET A CHEAP GRINDER WITH DISCS INCLUDED

You can get a cheaper one than this make this is just a example
the bolt cutter would be expensive
and you can use the disc cutter for many things
cutting ceramic tiles

I don't think that someone who asks what tool to use to cut a lock should be going out and buying an angle grinder. You might seriously hurt yourself or even burn your house down. No offence Shalena.

The bolt cutters require the least effort, but since you're only cutting 4 locks, you might as well just buy a simple hacksaw.

Follow JD's advice. Do not invest in a set of bolt cutters.. A hacksaw will take a long time to cut through really big locks.

Almost any iron or steel fabricator will have a set of these. In fact you local police station will probably have a set of them taken from thieves. This is one of the tools that identifies a thief...

Just grab anybody from the street! There are a lot of people that know how...just don't ask them how they know..lol! A lot of them just take a hammer and go at it for 15 minutes or so...it eventually works! Others take a hack saw, other bolt croppers. I have yet to see anybody open a padlock with a machete though!!

If all the above fail, get a locksmith. Padlocks as a rule very easy to open. 30 secs. each (Max) Before they use the sledge hammer that is. LOL
