Oh, I'd say about five years or so...if you are lucky.
Of course if you find the right people $$$, you could do it sooner...there are a lot of leftists still around that would welcome a former comrade here, but they do need encouragement ($$$).
Otherwise you need to have your degree recognized by the Ministry of Health and you need to take a few courses at certain universities and you need to have everything you own translated into Spanish by a Judicial Translator and you need to be certified by the Dominican Medical College.
Then you need to do a few other things. Not an easy process.
There are a bunch of doctors--they say they are doctors--practicing here without any of this...illegal and liable to be kicked out at any time..
