i will be visiting from 26 jan to 6 feb and will be staying near puerto plata - i have read that carnival is celebrated from the 1st sunday in february - is this right and if so could someone be able to tell me the best carnival to go to close to puerta plata, within a couple of hours - would really love to hear from any one that knows x
