Is anyone on this forum still waiting to get a marriage certificate from a wedding in Puerto Plata? Has it been over 3 months?
If so and you have no clue of how to get it, I have a contact and can get it in your hands within 3 weeks or so. I was married and had it in my hands by the time my honeymoon was over. I brought it back with me to Canada.
Meanwhile, the one that the hotel was supposed to send me has yet to arrive. I was married in August 2008.
Its scary to think that if i hadnt found my own means, I would have still been waiting for this in order to even APPLY for my husbands PR card.
Really frustrating....
There is a small price, as a few people get TIPPED in order to expedite the process but its worth it. Unfortunately, my contact is only in the registrar's office in Puerto Plata and he doesnt have access to other provinces.
