Shipping boxes from DR to states

We have a number of personal household items, including some smaller pieces of furniture that need to be shipped back to the states. We shipped 4 dishpack size boxes to the DR 2 years ago with FedEx.

Does anyone know if it is just best to air frieght them back with FedEx or can advice of another good option?

I also need to know the same.
I bought some antiques in Dominican Republic and I could find no way to ship them out. After I got back to the states someone told me I could have it flown back with me in the bottom of the plane...
