We'll be coming to the Dominican Republic for the first time Feb 28 - March 7 and staying at Lifestyle Crown Villas on Cofresi Beach (traded our local time share for a week here). Our party is 3 adults and 2 teenagers. We plan to venture out as much as possible to see the sights. What om currently struggling with is this: I'm not sure what the best way would be for us to get to Samana for a whale watching tour and how to get to a cigar factory for a tour (more for me but likely we'll all go). Should we rent a car for the day, are there planned tours for these activities from POP?
Also on the subject of cigars, what factory would you suggest we visit? My taste in cigars runs wide. I like a medium cigar (toro or robusto).
