    Default Power in Costambar

For over 5 days parts of Costambar have had no power & the rest of the town had 2 hours a day at most.

This morning there was a protest at the main gate.

About 60 residents - both gringo & Dominican - were present.

The media - TV, radio & newspapers were present.

8 hours later the power was restored!

Check out Listin Diario, El Faro & El Caribe papers on Tuesday 27th January

I wasn't there for the whole meeting because I could see it was going to degenerate into the same old bickering & name-calling. However, speaking to those who were there Edenorte are working to update the cables, transformers etc & when that is done the service will return to normal.
