My wife and I have been to this restaurant three times in the last 10 days. It was not until our last visit that we learned that the new owner/chief is Marian, formerly of El Choco that we use to frequent quite often. Marian has brought her expertise in cooking and baking to Las Canas with a very nicely priced menu and good service that works very well with the tranquil poolside atmosphere. The combination makes the drive up La Mulata Road very much worth it. We are so glad to have found Marian again.

As it happens, on recommendations from the OP and respondents, I was able to comment on a query about restaurant facilities at Las Canas to a friend in Sto. Domingo this evening who is contemplating coming to stay for a few days with 79 of his friends! Hopefully he will take our advice and Marian will certainly be busy for that period!!

WOW WB... I hope that someone let Judy and Marian know! What dates? I think that we will skip going for dinner on those days. LOL.
