Does anyone have info on whale watching? We will be staying in Boca Chica, and I was wondering how long it would take to drive to Samana where the boats leave from. Is it better to do a tour (take a bus), or rent a car?

Boca Chica is near the entrance to the new toll road that goes to Samana: it's about 2 hours drive.
The whale watching season is currently under way and continues until early March, sometimes later.
