I will be in DR (from London) for 7 weeks.
I wonder whats the best and cheapest way to carry/spend money and in what currency? Cash, TC, Debit, prepaid or credit card?
Most UK banks (I use Natwest) charge 2.75%!!! load fee on FX transactions through debit or credit card, plus the rate they offer is appaulling!!!
I was thinking of taking a USD prepaid card (cash passport). But not sure if it makes sense coz I will have to convert GBP into USD and then withdraw pesos at ATM. So 2 FX transactions
Any suggestions?
