My step son went out to the D/R on the 17 NOVEMBER 2008
lands back in the UK on the 19 February 2009
Flying with Virgin
born in the D/R has a British Passport
! will he after pay the overstay fee and the fine and how much thanks

If he was born in the DR he doesn't have to pay an overstaying fee or fine.

If it says he was born in the DR in his passport, and he speaks Dominican Spanish to the Migraci?n officials, he should be OK. I once travelled with a Dominican work colleague who had dual nationality and was only using his European passport and that was enough.

If he's born in the DR wouldn't he have or be eligible for a cedula.

Yes but only when he is of age. His passport should list his place of birth as DR regardless of the issuing country.

My son's U.S. passport list the place of birth as Santo Domingo, DR and I've never paid for any tourist card or exit fine.

Thank you all for your reply.s

He did not have a Cedula as he was under age
when he left the D/R he was only14.
and he speaks Dominican Spanish.
His British passport says he was born in the D/R
he have not taken his Dominican Passport with him
