So many people post here talking about moving TO the DR. Well, after having spent nearly three years here I am moving back to the US. Thankfully, I am not moving back destitute from having blown all my savings on brugal and other local distractions. My job here is ending and I am heading home.

I am looking for any suggestions of shipping/moving companies that have served any of you well when your move originated in the DR. I am living in Juan Dolio so a company in the capital would be best.

There are many international movers out there but I am only needing to move a relatively small amount of stuff (stuff I could live without but that my lovely wife is attached to). You can PM me or just post your suggestions here.

Lastly, what about customs and entry fees. I escaped most of the pain when we moved stuff here because we had obtained residency. Does the US care about what we are bringing with us if we are US citizens?

Thanks for your help.
