Is there a airport tax that we'll need to pay upon arrival to Punta Cana? Is there any tips that anyone would care to share that may be helpful? Any feedback on the Occidential Resort?

Thanks in advance..
Linda

hi Linda,
yes, there are taxes upon arrival and also on departure.
as far as my knowledge it is $15.- on arr and $20 on dep per person.
check with your travel package what you have to pay here and what is prepaid in your vaca package, it different between touragencies/packages aso.
have fun

it is US$10 pp to come in and nothing to go out. For sure.

that's wrong info.
it is a $20.- on departure, and you have to pay it with the right change mostly.
touroperators sell different packages, some packages include the taxes/some part of them/some none.
check your booked package,
included fees/raxes are always shown as included fees/taxes.
and don't write the misleading wrong info that there are no fees/taxes at the PC airport.
at least they been there last week.

i believe the departure fee depends on where you are coming from/going to. Going back home to the states I have never paid the departure tax and never knew what people were talking about when they said they had to pay. the fee to enter is $10pp.

I have stayed at Occidental and enjoyed the resort very much
