last night i stopped by to check out the carnival of santiago. To see if it had improved a bit. To my surprise, it has improved 10 folds. i would even go as far as to say, its better than carnival de la vega. The energy was definitely high and far more animated than the la vega's carnival. Its more organized than before and far more variety than the same old lame la vega's carnival. Unlike la vega's carnival which lasts till around 7pm, the santiago's carnival lasted till 10pm and the excitement was there till the last minute.
It would have gone even further but stupid drunk tigres never cease to remind you, they own the streets. A fight broke out between the drunk tigres in the corner of one way bar and out went flying bottles and cans everywhere. There was a fear tigres will take out the guns and start shooting. It didn't go that far but the flying glass bottles were enough to make me go away, along with other people. I guess the carnival ended after this incident. Too bad.
