would you be able to help with this one the , too, by El Torito..? Uno quiere pa' que lo quieren, uno ama pa' que lo ame, - in English transtaed it really doesn't make much sense... many thanks - I love bachata but sometimes it's not easy to get the exact meaning ( though inevitably it is about a girl who left a guy, or a girl who hurt a guy, or a girl who deceived a guy................)thanks

basically he sings about giving his whole life to someone and in return being cheated on and deceived. - uno quiere pa' k lo quieren, uno ama pa' k lo ame - you love someone and you expect the same from the other person..

Uno quiere pa' que lo quieran means "you love someone in order to be loved back." That's why at the end he says, quoting the woman who doesn't want anything from him anymore: "uno no da la vida entera pa' que lo enga?en," which means that you don't give your whole life to someone for that person to cheat on you.

That is one of my FAVORITE bachata songs, my kids love it because when I was in the states I played it no less than 10 times a day because it reminded me of Sajoma.;);)
