I am moving to Santo Domingo. I have a house there and I want to get a heavy duty inversor. It's a house with 2 apts on the roof and a 2 smaller rented rooms on the side. I want to get an inversor that will run the AC units, fridges, etc. How much and what brand? Is that a good idea?

lol i went through all this years ago, there's plenty of posts by me trying to do the exact same thing.

the end result is its a bad idea to run AC, heaters, washing machines and fridges on an inverter, no matter how big (and i was going to go big!).

Instead get a big inverter (4.5K or so) and run everything off that. If you want the AC, etc to run, then you get an auto generator and pay someone to manage it for you. I did that and its worked great for many years.

Install both.
When you want AC run the generator.
When you don't want AC turn the generator off.
You should be able to run your fridge or a freezer from the inverter for a good few hours.

All this makes you think about electricity usage/wastage.
This is a good thing.
