UTESA - utesa.edu
PCUMM - pucmm.edu.do

You know Google is a very useful thing. Try it. ;)

liam, he couldn't find it because there is no "university of santiago", give the guy a break. its hard to find info if you don't know the names.

AK - there are several universities in Santiago. you probably mean UTESA (Universidad Tecnologica de Santiago). If you don't speak spanish, though, good luck - even their english department to teach ESL is crap.

Are you kidding? NOBODY in their right mind ever calls Utesa "the university of Santiago"...in fact most people call it Brutesa....

THE university is the PUCMM. Far and away better than any other here (UASD and O y M and UAPA).

Hillbilly i take offense to that since my wife is studding medicine at Brutesa ;). She was "scared" of PUCMM's reputation as being very demanding, especially the medicine course, but now she doesn't find UTESA that challenging and is thinking of possibly switching next semester to PUCMM. Is that possible and what would the process be? Thanks.

Liam, wise choice of wife.

The admissions office at PUCMM will give you all of the info you need for a transfer. Be aware that the process is somewhat rigid. Transfer only for courses passed with C or better...And certain courses have to be fulfilled: Orientation, Filosophy, Dom History, at least...She can get a prospectus at the office..

Good luck, I hope she really wants to be a doctor...

Maybe i should apologize for my "Putesa and Puta-ma-y-ma" remark, like Obama apologized for the "Special Olympics" joke?

Anyway, she's doing great with all courses but math, and i hope she doesn't lose the interest in medicine that she has now. She's always on YouTube watching clips of operations and stuff like that. I find it very gross actually.

Liam, you should encourage her to keep up with the youtube videos, and maybe find specialist subscription sites you can pay for to give her even better first world access.

My father is an orthopedic surgeon and he spent many years while I was growing up watching hugely expensive videos of operations. I also found them gross. Its great first world knowledge can be transmitted so directly to the third world, this is quite a breakthrough IMHO.

I need to know where veterinarians study, availability of the course in English and other terms and conditions.
