Saw this in our local paper today.

Question:

The part about North Americans telling their kids to put their teeth under their pillow to be exchanged for money by the "Tooth Fairy" is true; is the part about children in the DR throwing their teeth on the roof to be exchanged for better ones by a mouse also true?

Curious minds (at least this one) want to know.

Thanks for any info.

FireGuy, the bit about the mouse is true - "el ratoncito" - but I've never heard anyone say anything about throwing the teeth up onto the roof.

wimbleton, welcome to DR1. You just succeeded in posting a reply to a thread, but if you want to start your own, you have to select the appropriate forum and click on "New thread" in the upper left-hand corner of the screen. Give it a descriptive title and then ask your question.

Lmao

My better half was preparing breakfast when I showed her this. We both laughed till we cried, explaining the lost tooth customs to each other.
Thanks for a great start to the day...;)
