I recently met three children that my family sponsors in the DR. They all live in different situations but I have no doubt that our contributions make a difference in their lives. My dozens of photos remind me of how little it takes to provide hope & encouragement to families in desperate need.
I would encourage anyone that may be thinking of sponsoring a child to research options & choose an organization that allows you to meet the child & their family. Spending time with them was one of the highlights of my trip & another reason to visit DR each year.
