Dominican Ensalada

I absolutely love the dressing used in many (actually, all, homes where I have been a guest) Dominican homes and restaurants for salad. My husband tells me it is only salt and apple cider vinegar, but my salad, when I use only these two ingredients, never tastes like it does when made by a Dominican. Anyone have any insight on a secret ingredient??? And I don't want to hear that it doesn't taste like it was made by a Dominican because I am not Dominican, either, hee hee.
Thanks for your help!

Re: Ensalada....sounds like mine but I use olive oil, apple cider vinegar, salt, pepper. Being Italian, olive oil is the main ingredient...hehehehhehehe

It could be the vinegar you use. The dominican vinegar is made of fruits (guineo & pi?a) and is sweeter than the wine vinegar.
