Don't let Lettuce Upset us...Romaine that is!
There is something wrong with the Romaine lettuce I purchased today at Playero as it has a funny smell to it.
I purchased a Salad Spinner to wash off all of the toxins / bugs etc. , but today after washing the lettuce with my spinner it still smelled offensive.
Be careful is all I am saying.

If there is something seriously wrong with it take it back and demand a refund! (Tesco or Sainsbury would give you your money back) What is a Romaine lettuce btw?

Romaine lettuce is what is used to make a Caesar salad.
The nutrional benefits of Romaine lettuce as opposed to iceburg lettuce is well known.

You said it all when you mentioned where you purchased the Romaine.

Playero have a 'scorched earth' policy when it comes to customers.
It is because they think they operate in an area with a transient clientele.
This is a pain if you shop there regularly.
In this particular case though it seems they have only sold a dodgy lettuce - it happens.
Good luck getting justice for your smelly lettuce. ;0

may one ask what it smelt of , so I can be wary of it.Usually I can only smell prawns in our little tin shack on the beach
