hi all

I hope this post is in the right section.

I will be in the DR for the first week of June, and would like to attend some interviews in schools to teach and phone centres (I have experience working in both areas). However, I'm not sure of the best approach - should I just appear at the offices and schools resume in hand? Or is best to try to arrange an appointment before hand?

I will be flying in from Cuba and try to check out the working environment / employment scene to try and establish myself there.

As well, is there a major hiring time in the DR?

Thankyou

From what I understand you are right in the middle of the hiring and interview period for the next school year. I would expect plenty of competition for teaching jobs. I am not the best person to ask but if they are arranging interviews I would expect it best to arrange one yourself.

Good luck.
