My boots are all mildew. I did the usual remredy, sprayed with Lysol and this time it didn't work. Originally they were black and now they are grey. Any help other than tossing them?

The Lysol worked on my shoes, no problema.

Rubbing alcohol or Vodka mixed about 50/50 with water should do the trick. Much less likely to damage the boots than bleach and water, which may also work for shiny finishes.

And i it doesn't work, I could drink it!
Only if you use Vodka!

The other stuff will do nasty things to you, like cause blindness :D

It really does work though...honest :cheeky::bunny::bunny:

White Tequila might also work in a pinch....

just kidding :D

Thanks for the links. I bought them in Italy, think they're real leather and they are badly molded. Last time this happened the Lysol worked perfectly. And when Spray with it they shine yet when they dry, alas they are grey.

I think I'll try the Ponds first, as this I have on hand at the moment.

Reporting in...the cold cream works the best, sinks right in, think I need two coats but I see progress already.

Thanks so much.
