Looking for rulo y platano mata !!!

Hola,

Let me introduce me briefly. I'm living here in Belgium with my wife. She is Dominican. We almost go back for holidays and family visit to the DR. ( La Romana).

My hobby is growing palm trees and banana plants. I would love to have some seeds from palm trees. But most of all i would love to have some banana puppie - to bring back home ( rulo y platano ). Can somebody give me some information on this ?

Does somebody lives in la Romana, or close, or do relatives have there that can help me?

Would be fantastic.

Doubt you can do it without a lot of hassle. Rulo and Platanos do not grow from seeds, but from little trees that sprout from the mother tree. Anyhow I would imagine customs would give you a hard time if you tried to get those through...

smuggle a small plant. place it in a jar with some earth and put in your main luggage.
i do not think anything much will happen if they catch you...

I think there are fines associated if not declared and found.

It is just a chance you take.
