Im interested to know what this place is like? the houses, estimate of workers, jobs available, hourly wage? Safe? What types of possesions are common, like clothes, phones, cars, tv, radio?
A mountain village far from everything. Poor as poor can be. Not a spot to cast my future. Good people there, for sure, but nada...or almost nada else.
There is a "Padre Las Casas" neighborhood in most cities and towns I think(?).
In Puerto Plata it's by far not the worst I've seen - many working (real jobs) people live there.
It's in the mountains of Azua province in the south west, never actually been there - I've heard the road access is terrible. I went to another Azua mountain town called Peralta which was very scenic, PLC is probably similar.
