Hi
I have an EAD for USA and am adjusting to get Green Card-I only need a tourist card at arrival in DR right? Or do I need tourist visa? I did confirm with the DR consulate but should I also confirm with the airline I am flying with?
Thanks

The way I read it, normally residents of India require a Tourist Visa; however if you have an existing valid Visa for Canada, Britain, USA or the EU you only require a Tourist Card. If you have an EAD I assume you have a valid VISA.

According to the DR Tourism website:

Entry Requirements

"- All nationals of countries able to legally enter the European Union, the United States, Canada and Britain, may enter the Dominican Republic with the presentation of a Tourism Card. (Decree 691-07 dated December 18, 2007).
- All foreigners who enter the Dominican Republic, either with a visa or a tourism card, should be in possession of a valid passport, unless there?s an agreement of Passport suppression with the Dominican Republic."

It would be a good idea to confirm with your airline, just to be sure.

It's been established that you are ok for entering the DR but you say that you are adjusting to get a green card? What does that mean? Are you in the US on a visitor visa? Will you have a problem getting back to the US if you are indeed returning to the US that is.

Good luck

you get two problem

First you need to apply Advance Parole from US immgration for you enable to return to US without abandoning your green card application.
Than theoretical, you can go to DR if Advance Parole is considered a visa for US. ( if you have still have valid visa on your passport than it is 100% ok for you.)
your check-in airline agent will really decide if you can go or not.

theoritically, it is Ok

The airline check-in agent will read following on her computer screen. According to her understanding to the following info, He will or will not allow you to boarding to the plane. You better go to airline check desk ( not phone line )to ask your question
