live concerts in puerto plata

I have no idea, as I am currently traveling abroad. But, once you are in POP, you will want to look out for mostly yellow or whit ground banners on power and telephone posts, about 3'x4' with while lettering, announcing National "stars" appearing around weekends at Rancho Tipico (West end) or Campito Bar (East end opposite to Playa Dorada's service entrance).
Both places are fairly safe... the later probably having the less risk for incidents like fights and so forth as long as you manage the leave well before closing time.
Some bars/restaurants inside Playa Dorada will at times have quality acts too.
