I am not sure if I am to understand that the daughter in question is Dominican or "Gringa". Really, it can affect her as the type of harassment she may encounter quite fundamentally.
If she is Dominican or Dominican looking, it all boils down to her attire, way to have her hair and overall demeanor. The overwhelming majority of Dominicanas can not in any way be mistaken as prostitutes because they put great emphasis not to look like one, dress like one or some "Barrio Queenie". Yes, even dress code conscious women will have a tale of a Gringo having walked up to them and asked "how much" to tell... but this is not what they experience all day. Aditionally, let it be reminded, that it usually is working girls (and boys) who harass tourists visiting our beaches and other "hot spots".
If she is a "Gringa" and on top of it white, yes, she is more likely to be approached by "Sankies" and other hot headed, usually local men trying to hit on her. Again, demeanor, dresscode consciousness (selfrespecting Dominicanas will never be seen in public top less or in Brasilian typ baithing suites) will have a great influence on her exposure. Also, whom she is with, will also greatly influence how and by whom she may be approached.
Lastly, as others mentioned, I agree, that hanging around Boca Chica and the bars of places like the ones prevalent in Sosua, may enhance her exposure to harassement and undesirable contacts.
