Las Palmas del Mar ???

:surprisedI am taking a small group of friends to LT for whale watching. Can someone tell me if the Las Palmas is being maintained well now - or should we consider the newer Hotel Alisei?
I've read that the beach is better at Las Palmas.....?

Personally I would go for Las Palmas Al Mar, It's six bugalows/12 apartments have a much more smaller feel than Alisei. Yes, it's still run well, closer to town with good swimming just in front but no restaurant.
