Bri,

You will have a wonderful time in Barahona. The Dominican Republic is a wonderful country, and full of the most nicest people. The first time I went to the Dominican Republic I was 16 years old doing missions work as well. 9 years later, I continue to go to the Dominican Republic, because I'm married to a wonderful Cachonero, and we have a beautiful son who is also a Cachonero. (From the town of Cach?n)

Someone mentioned to see "Polo Magnetico" it's something you really do need to experience. I would also try to see some of the other cultural areas or less developed such as Las Tejahs up in the mountains. Go far up into the mountains, and you will see some wonderful people.. People that really live the life. You would be suprised the lives they live, and the most nicest people. They are all nice!

If you need anymore information (What to pack) or whatever, please send me an email.

BEST OF LUCK!
