Default BIG photos - Photorally in the Zona Colonial

The Centro Cultura De Espana (ccesd.org) organized a photorally on September 20, 2009.

About 250 people took part, on a 4 hour walking tour around the Zona Colonial. The competition has a bunch of prizes and is designed to show off the Dominican Republic.

These are my entries. If you also participated in the photorally, please let us know, and we'll get your photos posted on dr1.com so the world can see what you made!

Coming soon: More photo walks around Santo Domingo you can participate in!

Didn't know there were so many red Xs walking around Santo Domingo. I'll try viewing them on my home computer after work.

Very nice! I ALMOST guessed 50mm lens because of the DOP the exposures produced.

    Keep em' coming!

i am a bit surprised sometimes by the bokeh i get on this lens.. it might make me sound like a real amatuer (which i am anyways!) but it seems to be as good as you get from a high end 70-200mm type lens.

so when are you coming down for a photowalk? :-)

In your pic number 5 http://dr1.com/adrian/photorally-zon...tencia_282.jpg

the young man's facial structure has a fair degree of resemblance to the Olmec heads found in Central America

The Olmec were predecessors of Maya, Aztec & Inca.

Lambada is referring to this photo:

and comparing to this facial structure:

This guy has been at the cuban son event at least twice now.. he carries himself like a very quiet guy, maybe even hatian. I am sure if anyone approaches him with a question like this he will be quite amenable to talking. He came across as a nice guy. For RD$50 he let me take quite a few photos. I can post more pics of him if you want to see them to see him better.
