Has anyone traveled this road lately? I haven't been on it in a couple of years and it wasn't very good then.

Just travelled this road this past Thursday... you may want to invest in a back brace and neck support if you would like to feel OK at the end of your journey;)

Bro, go to Google Maps and map the trip then remove the overlay of the map on the road surface from the satellite pic and see if the road is still there. You cannot get 1 mile resolution, but its a dirt road, if brown turns to green the road isnt there anymore....or its shaded by trees

lol, its a dirt road....i travel that road quite often, its paved with the usual pot-holes all over the place, there are a couple of stretches (100-200meters) that are not paved because of rain, the tenares side is being repaved at the moment, you can do the trip by car, but take your time and enjoy the scenery.....

It's typical of the former Trujillo roads from long ago meaning they are no longer maintained. Build it but not take care of it.
