Would appreciate advise on how to have the title of an apartment in Punta Cana transferred to me after my ex and I divorced last year. I was never on the original title...but it was awarded to me in the divorce decree.
You have to petition the Land Court for the transfer, submitting the Certificate of Title, the Divorce Decree (judgment and pronouncement) and the Settlement Agreement if it is not contained in the Divorce Decree. You'll need a lawyer for this.
Thank you for your guidance....would you recommend a good lawyer who could do this for a reasonable fee. I would like to take possession of the title as soon as possible!!
