Yesterday's edition of El Caribe featured a picture that captured the complete stupidity of some of the civil engineers in this country.
I hope someone can put this picture up on this thread, it is so blatantly idiotic!!
Here is a mental picture:
Imagine if you will a beautifully paved, painted and well marked 4-lane highway.
On your left there is a sign that indicates a place for you to make a U-turn. You can see the indicated place just a few dozen meters ahead in the photograph.
The you notice the guardrails. THERE IS NO PLACE FOR YOU TO EDGE OVER, SLOW DOWN AND MAKE THE TURN!!! OH MY GOD!!
Here you go, at 90 kph, and the guy ahead of you decides he is going to make a U-turn...Screech of the brakes, crunch of the rear-ender, and then the headlines reporting the tragedy...
It is right there for you to see.
And I thought we were getting a little better at this...

An after thought: There is also no place for you to ease into the oncoming 90 kph traffic as you go back the other way....
