Caribe Tours to Santo Domingo leaves from Petionville at 7:30am.

Once you arrive in Santo Domingo you have to take another guagua to Juan Dolio, because Caribe Tours doesn't have services east of Santo Domingo.

SD to Port-au-Prince leaves at 11am

does anyone know what the situation there is and if it is safe for me ( a gringo) to go there from the Dominican republic? Maybe just for a day or overnight- something of an adventure- but I hear stories from even the haitians in New York and they say stay away- but it can;t be that bad can it??? As a Yank- what would I need to get in and out , cheers... Mike
