I have a PO Box in the USA, I need to have an address here in the states that will forward mail over to the DR as to the fact that I probably will not be returning to the states in a longtime. There use to be a bank in Puerto Plata that did this for Americans.

maybe you mean banker trust ? not a bank though- I think they have an advert on here in the adverts section

Banker Trust will do it for anyone who has the money, not just Americans.

By the way, Banker Trust has nothing to do with banks or trust. It is basically a shipping company, which no better or worse than most any other shipping company.

Some people here have had good luck with them, but there are options, and it might not be the best fit for you.

In Puerto Plata try XMAIL open an account for 300 RD, from Miami to POP is $2.50 per pound. 809-261-7013
