Probably the best hotels in Higuey are Mira Cielo (on the SD exit) and Don Carlos (in front of Esso gas station, by the Basilica)
There is also a new hotel Salida del Sol (besides La Imagen hardware store, Seybo \
exit).
All of them charge more than 1000 pesos per night (about 1200, etc.)
They have AC, hot water, cable Tv and minifridge.
Hotel Bolivar, just after you enter Higuey, on your left hand side, before reaching Isla gas station. It has AC, TV, cable and Planta. Basics. No hot water. Has a guarded parking lot. 500 or 600 pesos a night (overnight till 11 AM).
