Sand sculpting competition

I was wondering if anyone knew if they will be holding the Sand Sculpting Competition in Cabarete this year. We were there many years ago and that was one of the highlights of our vacation. We did go to Cabarete last year but did not see or hear of any competition. it's a shame if they are not running it anymore. :(

p.s. Will be arriving next week for 6 weeks. Glad to get away from the deep freeze here in Toronto.

I checked the Active Cabarete website and nothing posted yet. But it has been an annual event for so long, it is sure be on again this year. But you may miss it, since, as David said, it is usually held in late February or early March.

Last year the sandcastle competition was held on the 8th of March. I posted a bunch of pictures. I can't seem to find the thread though.
