There are some folks down here presently in the DR (US University) researching aging issues in a developing country. Among other things, they are interviewing older members of a senior center, along with other respective adult family members, to gain insights into caregiving issues (ie which chronic ailments are most prevalent and what caregiving knowledge is needed in order best to care for these older family members who live in their home).
What centers of geriatric medicine exist so these folks can get in touch with them in their continuing efforts (contacts and #'s).
Also, has anyone heard of a leprosy center here in the DR ( although I know of a "dwarfism" community in Haiti, I have never heard of any center or clinic here solely for leprosy).
Any help - contact names and numbers would be great - pm or otherwise if you have helpful info please.
Thanks, Dave
P.S. Please don't tell me my POC on this is Hillbilly just because he is older than most on the island......hahahahahahahahaha
