Best nightspot in the Peninsula

Hi, I studied abroad in DR last year and made it to LG and LT, but did not make it to samana. I am bringing friends there next week and would like to spend it our nights on the peninsula in the best nightspot. Both LT and LG were very sleepy or is out of the ordinary?
