Visa Question for my Kids Nanny.

I was having a discussion with a friend at work, about traveling to NY, at the end of December.
I?m taking the wife and kids, and that it would be nice if I could take the kids Nanny along to help out.

He told me to go to the U.S. Consulate that I am allowed to bring her that I can apply for her Visa, as her employer.

I searched the Visa web site, but really couldn?t find any thing on that situation.

Before I make the trip to the Consulate, does anybody have any advice or experience with this?????

Thanks
Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks Again.

I would imagine you'll still be getting her a standard tourist (b1 visa). But provide documentation of the work relationship to the US embassy.

Some tips:

- if you can show affiliation with the local US chamber of commerce, do so. They like that
- demonstrate lots of ties to the DR, both for her and for you.

I would imagine........

......that Timex is talking about "domestic" help. I had heard something like that before too, but have never seen anything on it. I heard that they let you bring your cook, housekeeper etc. Would be interesting to know the details.
