Yes, it has..... I just dropped in ... didn't eat/drink.

Seems to be Fr-Cdns.... they spent some money.
I am told the staff is back - the same.

It might miss Patrick's 'touch' in the kitchen... can't say

Beaches are poor places to land a sailing ship. Deepwater harbors are far better. But it is a better promotional name than Magante.e

The sailing ships would anchor, I expect , and send a dinghy ashore.

La Entrada has that history, from what I know.

Patrick made it look easy.... the food was always excellent.
but if you noticed, he knew exactly when to appear in the kitchen to guarantee the meal's perfection.
He slipped away for a minute.... the most important minute in the process.

He knew a kitchen.

Stayed for one night last week. Michel the new French owner is doing a good job. Food is good. Not cheap, but not expensive.

We rented the kingsize cabin and he put in extra beds for our kids. 4,000 pesos a night. The beach is gorgeous and tranquil.

The only criticism I have would be the bugs. During the day there are those tiny little millimeter sized black bugs that pack a real wallop when they bite and at night there were a lot of mosquitos. So if you go, take plenty of repellent.

They have a party on Tuesday nights for a group from the Bahia Principe hotel. It was a great atmosphere, the clientele appeared to be mostly French/French (as opposed to French/Canadian)

There is a fb page https://www.facebook.com/playadelospiratas/?fref=ts
