What is the best way to say hot dogs in Dominican Spanish? Google Translate says "pancho" but I don't thing I've heard that before. We buy Emilios at Ole and they say hot dog, which isn't much help.

Thanks!

In the capitai they may say hódo. In countryside salchicha, salchicha hervida o pincho, which is on the grill. No one says perro caliente.

perro caliente is international.

Dominicans say hot dog but sounds more like HA DO

not uncommon in the states to also hear FRAN FOORA which is frankfurter.

It depends on how closely you care to adhere to your language

FrCdns are particularly fierce about protecting their French heritage......

In France - it's un Hot Dog
In Quebec - chien Chaud

Same here I expect....depends on the culture--- or depth thereof
