The National Drug Control Agency (DNCD) reports the seizure of 208 packages of cocaine or heroin at the Manzanillo Port. The suspected drugs will be sent to the government forensic lab for substance verification. The packages were detected in 34 empty refrigerated containers that had arrived on board a ship to the Montecristi port from Santa Marta in Colombia. The drugs were hidden in the refrigeration system.

208 packages of a white powdery substance confiscated.
Within another corner of the nation, 20,008 packages entered without detection.
The year is 2020, but not much different than the year 1980.

It does not "arrive" on the North Coast. It gets taken there.
The cartels do not only have the US of A in it's palm, the EU is a much bigger destination itself.
Canadians are too cheap. That is why they overstay here within, on the North Coast.
Who allows it? Must you wonder?
Imagine if those persons on drugs did not have access to them. THAT, is one scary pensamiento.

Surprized it takes a lab to tell the difference between cocaine and heroin.

PRM Senator, her husband and a host of the usual suspects were just arrested
in La Vega last month for drugs. A month before that another political actor from the
same party was popped and extradited to the US. And before him a Mexican cartel
member wanted by DEA was found hiding in DR. One can only wonder if all of these
cases are (snitched) related but we'll never know for sure.
One thing is for sure... The more things change, the more
they stay the same.
