The Ministry of Public Health’s Epidemiology Department Coronavirus Bulletin #194 reports 234 cases of persons testing positive to PCR tests over the past 24 hours. The 24-hour positivity rate is 14.54%, and the 4-week positivity rate is 13.18% and declining.

There are 22,801 active cases as of the 28 September deadline. The active cases are 345 fewer than on the previous day. The active cases have been steadily declining.

The number of daily confirmed cases has kept well under 500 for the first time in the past seven days. The health ministry announced the processing of 1,609 first PCR tests in time for the Monday, 28 September deadline. The 14-day average for first PCR tests is now at 3,695 PCR tests. The Ministry of Public Health says the demand for PCR tests has declined. PCR tests are now readily available at 15 public hospitals nationwide.
