The Ministry of Public Health’s Epidemiology Department Coronavirus Bulletin #208 reports 165 new confirmed cases. 1,525 PCR tests were carried out in time for the bulletin deadline. This is the lowest number of tests carried out after the authorities’ change at the Ministry of Public Health. It compares to the 14-day average yesterday was 3,649 tests, excluding the low number of PCR confirmed tests recorded for Bulletin #208.

The 24-hour positivity rate is now at a low 10.82%. The 4-week positivity rate continues to decline and is at 13.25%. The 26 September bulletin (#192) reported a positivity rate under 10%, but this climbed again after the Mercedes Day long weekend mingling and the curfew reduction resulted in many new cases.

The Ministry of Public Health reports active cases are now at 21,884, down 248 cases from the previous report.
