Locally, there have been no leads whether the government or the agencies involved had reached a monetary agreement with Russian graphic artist Ivan Bobrov over a supposed plagiarism of his K mark logo. Local reports criticized that what appears to be a mirrored image of the K mark logo had been turned into the new Dominican Republic country brand campaign logo. The Mexican company that developed the logo denied the plagiarism.
Nevertheless, on Instagram, Bobrov posted that the situation had resolved for him. He expressed appreciation for all the people involved and announced he would make a donation to a cancer foundation in the Dominican Republic. His grandfather this year had died of cancer.
