Grupo Sirena opens three new Sirena Markets

The Sirena consumer merchandising group re-opened modernized supermarket stores in three locations in Greater Santo Domingo. The company already operates stores at Lope de Vega Av. and Av. Sarasota. Now it announces consumers can shop at the Sirena Markets at Av. Independencia, Plaza Patio Colombia and Arroyo Hondo in northern Santo Domingo. The modernization includes pick up systems where customers can buy online and then drop by to pick up the goods.

Grupo Sirena​

Was able to expand their monopoly and raise (in some cases double) their prices while the government forced the closure of small businesses across the country last year. At one point they even spoke out encouraging the previous government to continue with those choke hold restrictions on small businesses.

I've stopped shopping there unless it is absolutely necessary. Prices in local neighborhood grocery stores are often lower and the produce is fresher.
