Apparently the government is allowing bars to sell liquor now past 3PM.
I could be wrong but let the liquor flow if it's a fact

The signs regarding the 3pm ban were still up when I was there earlier(?). Looks like, as usual, the government is making things up and changing them as they go along. At least they finally recognized what a stupid idea it was.

I don't see any news anywhere about a change in the 3pm alcohol ban(?). The way the decree was written, there never was a ban on supermarkets selling alcohol after 3pm.

The authorities here are completely incapable of clear, precise communication. The same thing happened the last time there was a new curfew and ban on alcohol. Abinader issued a decree that said one thing, and then the vice president issued information that was completely contradictory. It's almost like none of these people in charge ever took Spanish 101 in college - if they even went to college.

They are a tad short on logic, statistical analysis, basic arithmetic, communication and public speaking, logistics and ethics.
They speak Spanish, albeit with a silver tongue, and have excellent skills in long range funding of their retirement fund.

Was in the National grocery store yesterday at about 430 pm...as they have coolers full of ice cold beer for your shopping enjoyment I had 2,, as I had a powerfull thirst... nobody cared and customer service has the bottle opener...........

At least one bar on Cabarete beach was selling yesterday too, but then a big CESTUR guy spoke to them and the sales stopped.

Gosh, all these people so desperate to buy alcohol in a supermarket after 3pm. Like it's such a difficulty to go shopping a little earlier and buy it before 3pm
