The Senate approved on Wednesday, 16 June 2021 the second reading of the bill that regulates customs regime in the Dominican Republic. The bill passed with the vote of 27 of 30 senators.
Senator Alexis Victoria (María Trinidad Sánchez), author of the initiative, congratulated the work of the Industry, Commerce and Free Zones Committee in the drafting of the bill. He said it replaces the current customs regulations that are 68 years old.
